Tarab NYC is joining the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs in hosting an event to celebrate Immigrant Heritage Week this year at the LGBTQ Immigrants Community Forum! MOIA celebrates Immigrant Heritage Week (IHW) from April 17th – 23rd, an annual citywide program of events designed to recognize and celebrate the history, traditions and contributions of NYC’s diverse immigrant communities.

The event will foster dialogue among city agencies and community partners dedicated to serving the needs of LGBTQ immigrants around the city. This event will feature an expert panel, resource tables and breakout sessions on key issues such as economic empowerment, immigration, health and rights and discrimination.

Partners include the New York City Commission on Human Rights, the Anti-Violence Project, Harlem United, Immigration Equality, APICHA, Caribbean Equality Project, CLAGS: The Center for LGBTQ Studies, GAPIMNY, Make the Road New York, RUSA LGBT, SALGA NYC, Tarab NYC, and many more.
