Tarab NYC at Queens Pride

Registration is closed for this event

Queens Pride is this Sunday – and this year we are centering Palestine and fighting back against pinkwashing and zionism at all pride events. Our participation in Queen’s pride in particular is very important.

As many of you may already know, Queens Pride has been taken over by The LGBT Network, and through the leadership of their ED, David Kilmnick, they have demonstrated support for Israel’s violent occupation of Palestine, through an op-ed entitled “LGBTQ People Must Support Israel” and held an event called “LGBT Community Stands With Israel and Against Antisemitism”

While we understand groups like @tibetanequalityproject’s call for boycott, we actually call for reclaiming our space, using our voices, and getting into good trouble.

Marchers should plan to meet near 89th Street between Roosevelt Ave and 37th Ave. by 11am and we will begin marching around Noon. Allies are welcome. The parade will kick-off at 89th Street and 37th Avenue and will follow 37th Avenue to 75th Street. If you would like to come earlier and help set up, we will be there as early as 10AM.

Registration is free, consider making a donation to support our efforts. Volunteers needed, if you can volunteer to help setup/teardown, please let us know when you register. (you do not have to register but important information will be shared with those that do register.)
