Catalyst Awards

Join the Tarab NYC table at NQAPIA’s Community Catalyst Awards!  The NQAPIA Community Catalyst Awards are a chance for us to come together, share a great meal, and honor the organizations and leaders in our community doing incredible work. These events also raise money for NQAPIA’s continued organizing and advocacy in LGBTQ AAPI communities.

Honorees include:

  • The Asian / Pacific / American Studies Institute at NYU
  • Conrad Ricamora – ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder” and Broadway’s “The King & I”
  • Faisal Alam – Founding Member of Muslim Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity (MASGD)

And the evening will feature:

  • A drumming performance by Poongmul Movement Builders
  • A musical performance by Sulia Matagi, ukelele and vocals
  • Tarab NYC’s very own DJ Bashar, mixing pan-Middle Eastern and North African beats
  • Our emcee, Daniel K. Isaac

The evening will include a multi-course banquet, dancing, and a cash bar. Tickets are $50 for limited income individuals and students, $75 for Tarab NYC volunteers and $100 for everyone else!  Reply to this email or email tarab@tarabnyc.org to inquire on how to reserve your tickets.
